Line 181 (Hollywood - Glendale - Pasadena)
A proposal was made in August, 2004 (as part of the implementation of Metro Rapid service, replacing Line 380) to replace a portion of the Line 181 branch of Line 180 with new Line 685 and cancel the remaining service to Sierra Madre Villa Gold Line Station. The proposal was withdrawn after the public hearing, primarily due to problems with the Line 685 proposal.
(While the above map does not make it clear, Metro Rapid Line 780 was implemented with routing on Colorado Blvd. to Pasadena City College but not to Sierra Madre Villa Gold Line Station or to the previous Line 380 terminal in Altadena.)
