Welcome to the San Fernando Valley Transit Insider!

Our mission is to provide the history of transit service in the San Fernando Valley region of Los Angeles, as well as perspective on that history. We hope that for the researcher, we will be a useful resource; for the transit fan or public transportation advocate, a reference source; and for those who have previously lived in the Valley, a nostalgic look at how transit service evolved over more than a century.

We also provide current transportation news in the region and other pertinent information, for your convenience.

If you are looking for historical information on a specific bus line, click on the "Search" button on the left-hand navigation bar. If you are looking for current schedules, please visit our sister website www.valleytransit.info.

Your comments about the site are welcome; simply click the "Feedback" button on the navigation bar.

Thanks for visiting us!
